AN AUDACiOUS BUSiNESS PiTCH

The idea for Jetlag Noodles® was first pitched by Jenny to billionaire entrepreneur Richard Branson during a trip to Necker Island (as a travel journalist she gets opportunities like this).

Following that conversation, we entered a pitching competition organised by HelpBnk and Virgin StartUp.

In July 2025, Jetlag Noodles® gained global exposure after our pitch was featured on Richard Branson’s and HelpBnk’s Instagram pages, alongside commentary from both Branson and Squibb – marking the brand’s first major moment on the world stage.

Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Voyages, Virgin Hotels and Virgin Galactic, said:

“Well, nobody who ever goes into our hotels ever gets drunk or wasted…! On a serious note – it’s a great idea.”

Simon Squibb, self-made millionaire and founder of Helpbnk, said:

“Jetlag is a big problem for a lot of people. I just got back from LA. I need to get over jetlag – I need those noodles NOW!”

“It’s a great name, isn’t it.”

“Jetlag Noodles will work. Not just because of the product itself… But because of where, and how, it fits into the market. Hotels. Airport lounges. Minibars. Tired and unfocused. Looking for something simple to bring them back. That’s the REAL insight here. Routine keeps people regulated… And when it’s broken, they’ll reach for anything that helps them feel in control again.”

We worked with Seymourpowell – a top-tier strategic design agency based in London that not only specialises in food and drink packaging – but also conceived the interiors for Virgin Galactic’s spacecraft.

One day we hope Jetlag Noodles will be eaten by astronauts!
